A Guide to the 2024 Global System Integrator Report Submission

Rivergate Marketing 2024 global system integrator report submission

The Global System Integrator Report (GSIR) is an annual media opportunity for system integrators that is hosted by Control Engineering Magazine and Plant Engineering Magazine. This is a free media opportunity that integrators should absolutely consider taking advantage of. According to Control Engineering, the GSIR “celebrates recent achievements by highlighting integrators who will make a difference for years to come.”

A common misconception is that the GSIR is connected to Control Engineering’s System Integrator of the Year. This is NOT what the GSIR is for. There are two ways to participate; Submissions will be considered for feature articles in the GSIR, a special edition of the magazine.  The other way is to apply to be listed in the System Integrator Giants list – a list of 100 system integrators ranked solely on total system integration revenue. However, the System Integrator of the year IS announced in this edition, hence the confusion.

This is both an exposure and content SEO opportunity. As we’ve discussed in previous blogs, your website’s page and domain authority can be improved by having links on other, well-trusted and authoritative sites that send readers to your site (quality backlinks).

Each year, the GSIR has a theme for article submissions. For this year’s submission and to appear in the 2024 edition, the theme is as follows:

A wealth of opportunities addressed by highly capable SIs

CFE Media’s Global System Integrator Report covers the opportunities, challenges and best practices relevant to dynamic systems integration markets

Case study or tutorial: If you can name the customer, tell it from a project point of view. If you cannot, a tutorial approach is suggested.

Images for your article: For articles submitted, one to three of the most photogenic and impactful projects will be featured on the cover. The best will run in print.

All accepted articles are due by July 31st and will run online and be eligible for newsletters, eBooks and syndication.

Guidelines for contributions:

    • 1,200 to 1,800 words, give or take.
    • As for depth, go as deep as required to tell the story within the word count. Many case studies follow a “problem-solution-result” format.
    • Overly promotional copy will be edited.

High-resolution images (300 dpi and as large as possible) help make a great story even better. No stock images, please.

While a submission does not guarantee publication in the GSIR, CFE media will work with you to place your article in another edition if it’s not in the GSIR.
